Personal Info

She is a forest engineer with an MSc from Catholic University of Avila, and a PhD in bioenergy from the Polytechnical University of Madrid. She worked with several NGO on energy access in many countries in Latin America, Africa, and Asia.

She is a fierce advocate of sustainable development in all its dimensions, believing there are many aspects that make us to be at a key point of human development. She also considers that we need to decide which world we want for the next decades so all decisions we make now will impact on how the world is in the near future. It could be really different depending on a small amount of actions.

For its multisectorial and international dimension energy sustainability is one of the key points of this debate. Biomass is the most extended renewable energy both in developed and developing countries and could play a key role in sustainable energy supply worldwide. She focuses her work on analyzing the sustainability and scalability of biomass production on a global scale, applying her scientific knowledge and sensitivity to developing countries.

She lived in Madrid and now in Pamplona (Spain) and is liaison to IINAS partners in Latin America. Besides her scientific work she loves to hike and use her mountain bike.
